The route starts at Larribet refuge (2072 m) located on a rocky hill in a small cirque. An obvious path takes us north through this basin and loses height on a sharply zigzagging path. At the start the descent is rather steep. The route rapidly approached Ruisseau de Larribet, and follows it along the first stretch. We change banks twice while descending, following the river basin and then reaching a forest preceding a rocky escarpment. Zigzags take us down this part and lead to a bridge (crossing with routes 14 and 15) just a few metres from Cabane de Doumblas (1563 m), very close to the waterfall of the same name. We cross the bridge to the right side of the river and continue in a northerly direction, now descending gently to Lax de Suyen (1536 m). We leave the dam holding the water in the lake behind us and enter the forest. We zigzag further down to lose height before reaching another bridge. We then cross to the other side of the fast-flowing torrent to reach the car park at Plan d'Aste (1470 m), where the Parc National des Pyrénées is located and the end of the walk.
