This walk begins by heading east from Marcadau - Wallon refuge (1865 m) on the main track towards Pont d'Espagne. We soon reach a signposted crossroads next to a bridge (1813 m) (crossing with route 03). Leave the track and cross to the other side of the river to head up towards the south of Gaba d'Arratilha valley. The firm, rocky path is not very steep at the start and passes through a forested area. Some time later it moves away from the river and ascends more abruptly to the western side of Lou d'Arratilha (2247 m). Border round the south end of the meadows surrounding the lake and climb over the upper brow of the hill, where there are some painted markings, following the zigzags in the rock field on the west side of Pic Né. We will then reach Lac du Col d'Arratille (2507 m), located practically at Col d'Arratille or Coth d'Arratilha (2526 m) (crossing with route 18).
The descent heads straight down from the pass. We will soon see a path with painted markings that heads towards the left. We do not take this path, but instead follow the cairns and using our intuition we head straight down towards the plain at the end, although there is no clear path. Go round the plain keeping to the walls that can be seen on the right and over a stony stream bed at the top. A little further ahead we leave the plain and head towards the west gaining height towards the basin where Ibón deras Neberas lake is located (2381 m). Some cairns indicate the way as there is no defined path. We reach the lake (crossing with route 19) and border round the north side to face the steep slope leading up to Cuello dero Letrero (2642 m).
The path is better marked here and the route heads towards Ibón Alto de Gramatuero (2510 m). We follow it round to the south and from the dam we descend to the end of Ibón Baxo de Gramatuero (2293 m). We follow the right bank, cross the dam and start to descend towards Ibón Alto de Bachimaña, which we border round to the east. Shortly after the dam we find Mal Paso, a sloping shelf that we climb up easily with the help of a wire rope. Next to the south end of the wall the path heads off on a good surface round the south side of Ibón Baxo to the door of Ibones de Bachimaña refuge (2197 m).
