Description

An obvious path leads around to the north side of Respomuso refuge (2200 m) and crosses the ravine of the same name before bearing southeast over flatter land. This path takes us to Ibón deras Ranas and shortly afterwards to Campo Plano lake (2150 m). There is a shepherds hut next to the dam at this lake. The path passes next to it before descending several metres and leading down to the flat area on the bank of the lake (crossing with route 10). Now heading in a north-easterly direction we cross a grassy plain with no obvious path, which is often boggy with crossing streams. At the end of the plain the path reappears with an easy climb up the slope towards Peyre Sant Martin pass (2299 m).

The path heads to the north down a gentle slope. We soon reach a fork (crossing with routes 14 and 16). The path to the right heads off to Col de Cambalés. We, however, carry straight on. The slope steepens and passes by Toue de Castérie cabin (2095 m). The well-trodden easy-going path continues and borders round to the right of Remoulis lakes (2040 m). After a steep descent we leave the path leading to Ledormeur refuge to our left, near Toue de Labassa cabin (1700 m). We then head down the valley to arrive at Cabane de Doumblas (1565 m) (crossing with routes 06 and 14). A path bears left and up an escarpment leading into Ruisseau de Larribet valley. We head up the ravine changing sides several times and face the final climb crowning the mound on which Larribet refuge is built (2072 m).
